Last note from Rex Stephens, October 23, 1987. The celebrated crime novelist retreats to his mountain cabin to write the final chapters of his new novel – deep in the Devils Mountain range, cut off from the rest of the world. Three weeks later: not a sign of life.

You are the detective team tasked with solving the case. Smothered notes tucked between book pages, a typewriter with half a manuscript, cryptic clues on the walls. Where is Rex Stephens? Who did this to him – and why?

You have 60 minutes before Rex's life is forfeit. Gather evidence, decode messages, reconstruct Stephens' final days. Can you save him – and bring the truth to light? Only the sharpest detectives crack the case in under 40 minutes.

Is Devils Mountain scary or does it have horror elements?
No. Devils Mountain is a mystery crime story, not a horror Escape Room. The atmosphere is tense and moody, but not frightening. No jump-scares, no actors in the room, no shock effects. Suitable from age 14 without adult supervision.
How many people is the ideal team size?
Ideal: 4–5 detectives. Enough minds for the parallel puzzles, but the cabin still feels spacious. With 6–7 people it gets social and you'll need to coordinate well. With 2 or 3: doable but really challenging – only recommended for experienced teams.
What's the difference between Devils Mountain and The Alchemist?

Do we get help if we get stuck?
Yes. Our gamemasters watch you throughout and have a perfect sense of when a small hint is just right – so frustration doesn't kick in, but you still feel like you solved the case yourselves. Hints come via a screen in the room, perfectly dosed.
What happens if we don't finish in 60 minutes?
No worries – the gamemaster walks you through the rest of the story and shows you all the puzzles you missed. About 35% of teams don't finish in 60 minutes. Devils Mountain is hard – that's part of the experience.
When can I book Devils Mountain?
Monday to Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Weekends often book up 2–3 weeks in advance – book early. Weekdays usually have short-notice availability.
